The earlobe looks enlarged in size to me. It could (not saying it is) be a DDO possibly.

It might be but it doesn't have the same profile as the main earlobe. The main one is almost at a 90-degree angle which is making me think the straight line is a hit or from a filled die?

petespockets55: I agree with what your saying about the profile BUT, If you look at the 2015 D 2018 D & the 2019 D Double earlobe on the SIDE of the ear well they don't look like a earlobe but are being LISTED as a DDO. Same with this one looking close but on the bottom of the ear so IDK

Not even close. Yours is probably Die Deterioration It needs to look like this so there is no question about it.

Hey, great pictures though!

USSID18: Sure if it was a 1984 DDO Ear.This is a 1993 D.. Have you seen the 2015 D 18 D 19 D Double ear that have been listed as a DDO Ear,VERY DIFFERENT then the 84 Double. This is one of my 2015 D DDO Ear I have close to the one I got listed on VV there are different one and they all dont look like the 1984 DDO Ears.

Daves Errors- Yes I get it. Your points are well taken. I guess my point is, if you need a scanning electron microscope to see these dozens and dozens minute common anomalies, what's the point?

If it is a doubled earlobe, it would be very small. If you could take a wider shot of that area, I might be able to see if it is a doubled ear/damage/die polishing issue? Too close doesn't allow me to get a perspective side by side to tell how minor/major it is.

COOP: A couple more Pictures as you asked. ( IF ) it is Doubling I am aware its ( VERY MINOR ). I'm just asking.I have sent a couple different ones to MR Wiles and they have came back as Doubling but to MINOR TO LIST. This one is NOT worth spending money to send in that's why I am asking in the forum as to what people think.

USSID 18: If my memory is correct we have already had this conversation many months ago. I don't save all minor error coins some do. And its up to them what they want to save or toss. Its fun to hunt all errors for some but not you I get it. Again some save and some don't no need to keep ask why. Not to be rude but that's my point.

Yes, I seem to recall that conversation. Here we are again. I know, some save and some don't. I'm throwing my opinion out there mostly for the newbee's. Many think they found the jackpot mint error! Something they can quite their jobs and retire on!
