nlp coins Pillar of the Community United States 2373 Posts	Posted 10/31/2008 10:18 pm The coins in these pictures didn't come from a flea market but the thought to look at my Mercury dimes for sale did. Last weekend I took my kids to Norfolk VA and we stopped by a market to look for treasures. They got some stuff and I spent some time watching a fella go through a bunch of Mercs with a loope. I finally asked him what he was looking for in those latter years. Why the 45 horizontal "S" and "S" over "D". Imagine that! A lot of good that CherryPickers Guide does me when you don't read it. That lit the fuse and off I went. This was in my sale bunch and has since been relocated. The following pics are a 1909S that was purchased some time ago. Thought I would share the pic since I was fixated on mintmark varieties. Report this Post to the Staff

Those were taken at a customers electronics lab today through their scope. It's an uncirculated raw coin. nlp Report this Post to the Staff
