F-12, but obverse surface doesn't appear original.

I think the surfaces are original. It probably spent a long time in one of those blue Whitman folders.

That was my thought as well. LIBERTY must be completely legible for Fine condition.

you cant just look at one marker to determine grade. look at the overall coin

the lettering, stars, denticles and date are too sharp for a VG coin. the reverse is textbook F. the obverse VF. maybe some weakness in strike caused the LIBERTY to not be fully struck up. in any case the obverse looks like cleaned and then maybe improperly stored for quite a while. the coin would net as F maybe details due to eye appeal and possible cleaning

I'm at VG-10 . Not an F-12 because of Liberty and not VG-8 ( too much meat on obverse ) .
