Remember there are people who still think the world is flat and that vaccines cause autism even though there's absolutely no basis for either claim (the latter was an old research paper that was proven false by international experts, yet many still believe it)

Seriously, I've been seeing his auctions for years, and it doesn't get any more believable.

Don't believe all those "sales" either. He does massive shill bidding, often his top bidders only have bids with "Seller 1".

Shill bidders is a good point. I wonder if these coins are consigned. If they fail to make the consignee's price point they get shilled and returned to the consignee. I've never seen any of them repeat, and because the bidding always starts at $1, every coin is inevitably "sold".

Just for fun I looked up Bluefield WV, the apparent home of the 200 year old pottery store. The town didn't really get started until the 1880's. 200 years ago there wasn't much of anything there. Maybe thedockter hauled the enormous safe from somewhere else and installed it in the cinder block building with the cramic store sign on it, opened it up, and oh lordy look at all those coins! Better put 'em on ebay! That safe is the ultimate unsearched item....way better than any unsearched jar....but same idea....

It looks like the Doctor is getting away from auctions and shifting to "buy it now"... Checking just now he had only one auction.

Is that Casper's wife on the obverse? The 200 year old building looks like it was most likely built in the mid 1960's - 70's.

Wow, it looks like he has changed his auctions. "During the demolition of a 200+ year old pottery store an enormous safe was found"! And he does not accept PayPal any longer!!
I wonder if he is lurking on this site?

Quote: And he does not accept PayPal any longer!! I would venture to guess that he is tired of PayPal holding all the money he takes in to make refunds on stuff he is taking back. He also appears to be overexposing his pictures even more now to make the coins look brighter. You can just about bet that most, if not all, of those newer listings were cracked out of "problem" slabs.

Quote:......and no ebay buyer protection. Yep, If even says that on each auction (I have never seen this before). Quote:Coverage:Read item description or contact seller for details. See all details (Not eligible for ebay purchase protection programs) When you click on "See all details" it does nothing!
