I have had the good fortune to be in a position to build on my existing early specimen coin collection recently, and I know you folks will appreciate them. As an aside, if any of you know my wife, don't tell her . 1939 $1 SP-66 (Ex- Victoria North) 1908 50c SP-66 1858 10c SP-65+ (ex Belzberg) 1858 1c SP-65 BN 1946 1c SP-66 Cameo Red Laquered Edited by skelly423 04/15/2020 09:41 am

Very nice. Love the original toning. Thanks for sharing!

You may want to get in touch with "bosox" on here who is also a big specimen fiend.

I've seen some of bosox's collection on here. His specimens are at a whole other level.

They're all excellent but that 1908 $0.50 is stunning. Is there a pedigree to it?
Cheers, Bill

Hi Bill,
There's no provenance mentioned on the grading certificate, nor was there anything mentioned by the previous owner. It is a spectacular piece, probably my favorite of the bunch.
