1957-D Wheat Penny Errors Question

I got this penny in with a group of other and noticed some weird markings. I tried researching and only came up with an answer for a couple of the questions I had. Can anyone tell me about these markings?

Also if you zoom it there looks to be an "L" on the edge as well.

To CCF! I think you have some type of Die Break progression, towards the rim. Looks like it's going to become a Retained Cud eventually. These types of errors are pretty common the the 1950's Wheat Cents.

Can you see the L where the die break is. Very faint. Not sure if it helps anything for value. But thought it was pretty cool

@jeff75645, first welcome to CCF. Second, yes that does look kinda like a letter L, but it is just a couple of tiny intersecting marks (not a mint error).
