to Community. That is quite a fine error specimen and quite valuable, it is flip over double struck coin. can you take it out of the 2x2 and take new pictures with the coin out of the holder? How did you come by this coin?

Please remove from 2x2 and post pics. Hold coin by edges only, do not try to clean it in any way.

@sdelo, a super coin for one of your first posts! Was this something you found, inherited, or bought? Welcome to CCF.

How nice to see an error that doesn't need a microscope to appreciate.

My husband purchased it from someone recently with some other coins. This one is our point of certain interest at the moment.

That's an awesome coin. People found coins like this al long time ago and stashed them away. That's why you don't see them often. In my opinion.

to the CCF! Fantastic error Wheat cent! Keep it safe and I suggest you have it certified by a Third Party Grading company. It's a wonderful coin and should be preserved. As Tunnioc said above, if you remove the coin from the 2X2, don't clean any of the surfaces. Don't even wipe it with a cloth. I've collected error and variety coins for 50 years and I dream of finding one like this!
ANA ID: 3203813 - CONECA ID: N-5637 Clean a coin that may be worth collecting? Please DON'T! When in doubt, leave it dirty!!
