On the reverse you have a Grease Filled Die that struck this coin causing the missing letters in CENTS, as far as the obverse- we call that PMD (post mint damage). As far as value it's almost stamped on the reverse...5 cents
to CCF, good luck on future finds...have fun...

To CCF! I agree. Even though it has an error on the reverse, all the value it might of have is now automatically cancelled out, because of the severe damage on the obverse. It's a spender now.

Looks like a 1996 D Jefferson that spent some time obverse side down on a parking lot surface.

I know it's all damage but can you post a clear closeup of the date with particular attention to the last number.
The bottom of it seems further from the rim and I like seeing how the details get "pushed" around sometimes by circulation.
