as a new collector, I now understand that however I decide to hold and store my coins is really up to me. and I understand that I might have to try several holder/storage containers until I find one that serves my purpose. however, is there a way I can find what I like easily without spending money on holders/storages only to find that there is something better? like someone in another thread said, every penny spent on supplies is a penny not spent on a coin. and with the economy the way it is...times are hard for this low level social worker.

The best thing to do is go to a coin show. With a variety of dealers, you should be able to see many different ways to store coins. At the last coin show, there was no shortage of Dansco and Whitman albums with coins in them, 2x2 vinyl pages in three-ring binders. Of course, they are not limited to these choices, there are many more.
