It's AT the rim, but with separation, so I'm not sure how it would be classified. And I don't know what happened to the 9, almost looks like it was made from a string of clay pressed down where the loop meets the stem, ha.

IMO die chip -or- maybe possible die dent but doubt it (...due to split before it hits rim)?
Let's hear what others have to say!
Not sure what's up with the 9... I do see other damage areas on the coin... so maybe damage?

I can't tell. Is this area raised or recessed?

I am thinking that it's just damage. Doesn't look like a Cud at all. Looks like solder.

If it's not raised, it looks like a hit. Part of the rim is missing. If it's recessed, maybe struck thru something. Whatever it is, I'd say zero value added. But it's still silver!

It looked raised to me (due to the shadows on it)...hence my answer.

Yes E&V maybe solder? Or possibly indented & damage? I am still thinking it is raised... but now questioning that?

It was pretty late at night when I looked at this originally ;)

It looks like the piece missing from the rim was lifted and set down on the coin and then pressed down. See the V shape at the top and bottom of the debris piece? It looks like it would set down right into the chipped out area. So PMD?

There is also a sizeable gouge near the truncation of the neck. My hunch is that a mechanical coin wrapper or vending machine damaged the coin.
