Hello. Newbie here. I have a very interesting 1954-S Lincoln (the forehead die crack, especially) I just recently discovered rummaging through my old coin sets that I haven't looked at in a long time (I will get more pictures when I am home, as I am at work currently). It has the same crack across Lincoln's forehead, a weak VDB and die chips on the 1 and 9. I didn't notice any other issues on the reverse but I will look again Please let me know what you think.

Funkyjbell to CCF!

The coin you posted is not DDO-001.
Even thought the pictures are not close enough to see any doubling, the mintmark position does not match the variety.

The following thread may help you to determine what kind of pictures are needed when posting. http://goccf.com/t/5450

thanks

Ok. This was split out from another thread (I did not name it, fixed it) I was replying to another post, saying mine was similar, especially the crack in Lincoln's forehead. As I said, I will post more pictures later when I am home, as I am at work right now. Thanks. Sorry for any confusion.

So when I zoom in on your first photo, I believe the die crack in Abe head might run all the way to the rim, if so we call those spike-heads and many are categorized and listed on Cuds-on-coins.com. Die chips are very very common on 50 era cents..nice condition cent, if a spike-head I would 2x2 it

Die chip on the '9'. Not a big thing as the 1950's wheat cents were used waaaay past normal retirement. The VDB was polished off the die. (The VDB is incuse on the coin, raised on the die. So over polishing can remove the VDB)
