Hi Eg,
Looks like a decent example, with full rims and no damage.

There is some dark material around some letters, like in the E's of ONE DIME. The open areas like Liberty's portrait are mostly free of dark color. This kind of appearance can indicate that the coin was gently cleaned at one point. The cleaning would remove dirt and/or toning from the flat spots but would miss whatever crud had built up in the crevices. If it has been cleaned, it hasn't done much harm.

The 1914 is a common date and your coin would grade Good-4. It's not worth a lot but will serve nicely as an example of the Barber type.

Keep 'em coming!

Hi Eg

Barbers are a cool series ! this is nice example of the Barber dimes and a good start if you are going to try and assemble a set .

I am also assembling a few barbers but as year sets not as a series .

interestingly enough I have chosen the 1914-D as one of the sets I'm assembling .

I'm a huge fan of the Barber series...I've posted this pic before, but it seems appropriate here...
