I found this coin and upon researching if this is a variety or rare, I ended up seeing old conversation about the same coin issue. I am convinced that the coin is only face value but I decided to post this hoping that the doubts will now permanently put to rest.

Thanks

Mint marks were added to working dies by hand until 1989, so they could be almost anywhere, or upside-down, or sideways.

This is a damaged MM. A contact was made on the lower portion of the MM and caused the metal to slide and move further toward the date.
