First post on this forum and new to coin roll hunting.

I found this 1983 Washington quarter and was not sure what is going on with it. Is this just a quarter that got the heck beat out of it or something else. Thanks for any insight. Different lighting shows some of the different defects.

Damaged. Note the rims are altered? A sure sign it is PSD.

An example of a well-circulated quarter, areas of 'high wear', with some environmentally-caused damage. It has seen its share of service, no doubt.

I'd describe this one as "roadkill" - it appears to have been run over several times.
