I think every collection faced the problem of photographing their coins well, not only for sale, but also for their collection. I am amazed at how some sellers photograph their coins. Can you give me some advice?

I really don't photo a lot of my coins. Never did see any great reason except to show someone on this forum or through emails to someone. When you have thousands of coins, it would then take thousands of photos to do record them all. And for what purpose?

With thousands of coins storage and location can become a problem for viewing. That is why I have itemized photographs to view coins and not have to search the mass to see them.

A lot of practice and the correct equipment.

Honestly, I photograph mine so I can blow them up for better viewing.

I photograph every arriving coin, nowadays. I don't have individual photos of my silver stack coins (several hundred worn-out quarters, for example), but I do have photos of all gold coins and decent numismatic coins.

I started taking these photos so I could tell what I had after the coins were stored away in safety deposit boxes. Unfortunately, I don't have 1000s of gold coins to photograph (but if I did, I wouldn't mind photographing them all.)

I have pics of almost all of my coins, new and old, mint and worn.I have nearly 10,000 so thats 20,000 pics.

You need a permanent place to put a camera setup.

I also have photos of all my numismatic coins. None for bullion. I feel somewhat safe knowing that if my coins are stolen, I have a very good record of each one.
