Has-Anyone-Seen-Anything-Like-This-Before?-2014-D-Cent

I was getting boxes of pennies from the bank, sometime the boxes had more new pennies than I was looking for until one day I opened a roll and found this 2014.

Yes, appears to be a damaged Lincoln Cent that has been abraded on the surface revealing the zinc underneath.

Yes, have come across these a number of times. Straight-on photos, front and back, might nail this down further.

Coinhunter93 is a new member so let's be gentle!

"@samcoin, I'm still new to this so your reply kinda went over my head..."

Translation:
There is a thin copper coating over a zinc Lincoln.
This copper coating wears away over time.
The wear reveals the zinc underneath.
The result is a damaged coin.

Worthy to save for educational purposes.
But still worth only a penny.

Don't worry, it can be tough when you're new, so much to learn. Here's some sites for you.

Here's the best sites for varieties like doubled dies, rpms, etc:

http://www.varietyvista.com/
http://doubleddie.com/1801.html
https://www.coppercoins.com/advsearch.php

For basic error knowledge (important):
