Found this roll searching

Appears to have been struck somehow lightly? and then actually struck later.
On the obverse under the "y" in liberty you can see one of the raised columns of the lincoln memorial, in addition to seeing the memorial across most of the face.
On the reverse you can see Lincoln's bust under the memorial, appears to be a mirror image.
Any thoughts?

Kie

It is a fairly common event occurring from a clashed die.

shows a coin similar to yours. On ebay they are generally called
"Lincoln in Jail" cents.

Books are great!, you can read them in bed, make notes in the margins, but don't
underestimate the addition of internet sites. If you find an excellent photo or reference url, you might mark it in the margin to find easy again.

I have always like the "Lincoln in Jail" description...kinda like "Alice in Chains"

Welcome to the forum!

A number of years ago these were being promoted as "Lincoln Prisoner" coins, for big dollars.

Nothing like a promotion to fall flat, I hope no one here bought them.

They are still called 'jail cents' or 'prisoner cents' and stronger examples sell for $10 or more. Clashes this strong are uncommon, but it would be a stretch to call them 'rare'.
