The T in LIBERTY was struck (hit) in a way to distort the shape of the metal making up the letter T. Copper is a relatively soft metal. I have come across many, many older copper cents which have lettering digs and hits--making them look like other features.

Just looks like a circulated 1946 Wheat cent to me. Not sure why anyone would bother counterfeiting a coin that is worth at most a nickel.

just normal circulation. It would be irrational to counterfeit a 1946 US cent, it wouldn't be worth the effort.

They have chipped away in circulation or were altered in a garage. Doesn't matter, the coin is damaged and looks like it was deliberate.

Just seems like long-ago circulation damage.
