I've been wanting one for a while now... Always have, though when I started collecting in the 80's, there were no 200 year old US coins! I didn't post in the Grading Forum, because I think all would agree that it's G-4, G-6 at best. But for $9.50, I'm pretty happy.

Fair price I guess, but a scrubbed details coin.

Lots of wear and I think a more recent cleaning, but old US copper is really nice to pick-up. Just be careful as it can be addicting.

Be carefull, so there it was a 1855 US Large Cent only $10 bucks, now 11 months later I have 45 different large cents and many dupes......just sayin.

I hear you guys about the copper. I already have a couple large cents, 2 and 3c copper, FEC,IHC and LWC's galore. It's always been about the mystique of being 200 years old. Probably has something to do with being in my teens during the Bi-Centenial in '76...

Your pic shows a 1819 Large Cent. The year in the title is wrong but congrats on the acquisition!
