About the best I can do inside an NGC slab and an Android camera. Do you think they got this one right? Coin courtesy of the Federal Governments economic stimulus payment.

Easy fellas I don't work at NGC. The subtle rose toning is what I like about this one. It looks like it spent some years in a bank bag, another one I considered looked almost too pretty for AU like maybe it was cleaned. Hard to imagine this ones been messed with. These are a real honker of a coin, glad to finally own an example.

Fair grade. I was leaning a bit toward upping my 55 to a 58 after seeing this on my large monitor. Quite a bit of luster.

Don't ever take it out of the slab as a 58 grade might not happen again.

Still, a nice coin!

I think it's a generous grade, but a very nice coin. Congrats for getting one!

No won't do that westernsky the NGC slab is just fine for this one. I had been looking for this coin with Denver strike - raw was not even considered. Missed one here missed one there ahhhh should have bid darn etc. Didn't take long to figure out the no mottos don't go on blue light special very often, observed even low AU starts heading towards 900 bucks real quick at 55-58 add shipping insurance buyers fee and your in 1000+ territory. Mint state starts the thunder dollars booming and not feasible for me at this time.
Observed this also its a head snapping bad mammajama series. Pennies and nickels just don't have the juice for me anymore. Those of you who know this series let me ask - why when theirs original examples literally only in the tens of thousands hundreds for some issues is this series so buckled to gold spot prices? Elementary question but seek answer. Year 5 for me here's what I know
1.Buy the highest grade best looking certified example you can afford of any series.
2. A fool and their money are quickly separated.
3. Don't be timid paying full book or over for an outstanding example.
4. Many... but not everyone is your buddie in world of coins.
5. Try and remember its a hobby.
6. Study, buy books, pump oldtimers, attend shows, mingle.
7. Share your knowledge tenderly and gracefully with new collectors.
8. Try not to pull the hair out of the head of the dealer who sold you your first series set of doctored dinged and damaged Lincolns (true story).
9. Don't forget nothin Airborne!

I gotta get out more :)
