Thanks for posting the results.
Looks like NGC didn't agree with most of us here on the Forum.
I think the two carbon spots, more prominent/pronounced in the NGC photos than in the pics we saw, really hurt it.
Still, a nice coin! I hope you enjoy it for many years to come!

Looks like they were pretty tough on this one.

Yea me too. I did initially think MS 62 at first glance, being a bit conservative. Did think it would get a bit of a bump from strike alone. Looking at other 62's they ALL have a weaker strike and far more points of contact.
Guessing the larger contact marks on the obverse held it back, but I was hoping for no lower than a 63. Their pic doesn't do it any justice, the carbon spot looks accentuated in this pic and color is not accurate.

NGC has been conservative on the last few Buffs I've sent in. Have 4 more there now, will post when those return.

I strongly disagree with NGC on this one. The reverse is dramatically better than their grade, and they disregarded strike, die state, and eye appeal. This would easily trade on a bourse floor three full points above NGC's grade as a raw coin.
I've handled quite a few Slider-MS-60-61-62 1913-S Type 2 Buffs, and there is no comparison with your coin. Every one of those coins had mushy strikes, numerous bag marks on obverse and reverse, and poor eye appeal.
Put a strip of electrical tape over the NGC grade, and show this one on a bourse floor (if and when we ever have shows again). This coin will garner plenty of attention.
