Excellent! Quote: On Sunday when we aren't supposed to have mail? I recently received some mail on a Sunday and it did feel odd.

Quote: I recently received some mail on a Sunday and it did feel odd. jBuck, We have been getting packages, but lately no mail. We are now getting mail 2 times a week, I've complained, sent in emails, placed missing mail and then in day we get 20-30 pieces of mail. This book was ordered over 3 weeks ago. It was mailed from Bridgeton, NJ.. considering I live in NJ should be a few days. Nope, no tracking, no information, just "In Transit" on Sunday I get a text "out for delivery", but its Sunday, we get no mail on Sunday. I got the book around 2PM, so 3 weeks to go from South Jersey to North Jersey (or more like central). The USPS Mail has just lost it

My latest, I really like the Obsolete notes from The State Bank at New Brunswick. I appreciate that both sides are printed. My 2nd graded note.

This is the 25 cent from the first issue. As there wasn't a 25 cent stamp, they used pictures of 5-5 cent stamps. This note was issued from 8/21/1862 to 5/27/1863.

RANT ON I found a new LCS that has a lot of the Fractional currency that I want. And while he has all the ones I am missing, I find his prices to be high like ebay, he only shows me 1 note at a time and nothing has a price. So I have to ask what the price is before I decide yes or no. I like to browse and when I find a note/coin that I like and is in my price range I'll buy. I only ask when I'm missing the last few or they are keys. So I went to pick up a note and I had extra cash so I asked him what else he had and he was like what do you want to see. I was like whatever you have I would like to see. He goes I can only show what you want to see. I said I have time, I would like to see what other notes you have and if they are in my price range I will get them. He asks whats my price range and I go, I'm flexible, but am looking for notes under $100. He goes I need to know the series and note you are looking for. I ended up not buying the note I had on hold and left. I doubt I'll go back. I understand he can do his business the way he wants but I like to browse and I'll get my notes someplace else. I understand he thinks I could steal notes (I would never do that), but if I can't see what you have I just wont buy there. RANT OFF

This is F-1244, the 10 cent from the 2nd fractional series. These notes were issued from October 20,1863 to February 23, 1867. They are all the same. A portrait of George Washington with a bronze oval and bronze printing on the reverse. Many of these notes were circulated and had the bronze rust. If they weren't removed early from circulation many fell apart. This one I picked up from my LCS in which I can spend hours just BS'ing with the owner. I don't spend hours but I always spend a few minutes looking for any new purchases. This one and the next one were recent purchases the LCS made.

Quote: I ended up not buying the note I had on hold and left. I doubt I'll go back. I get it. There was a LCS like that here a long, long time ago. Almost nothing on display (just a few high end "in your face" things). You had to ask to see anything. It would not be so bad now with just six coins on the "want list" (to finish off the Dansco albums), but it was a real buzzkill when that list was massive and I bounced around a lot. A side comment, it might have made more sense if the shop was smaller and in a bad part of town, but he was in a newer shopping center with lots of empty floor space. Thank jBuck, I was surprised when I decided to not buy anything, but I figured its my money, I can spend it as I see fit. This was the other 1 I picked up. This is F1230 which is the 5 cent. I am almost tempted to straighten it out as its badly cut, but I'll leave it original :) This leaves me the 50 cent to complete the 1st issue.
