Its been over a month, today's notes are a consecutive set of $2 US Notes. A local dealer lists what he gets during the week on Thursday and you have to be quick as the items are priced to sell. While most of the times the items aren't things I need, sometimes I don't say no. Only issue is that you have to be first with the email, so a few of us are refreshing the screen at 7:00 PM to see what's for sale :)

Again that newsletter gets me!! Today's note is a 1928B, 1928B was printed all the way to May 1935, along with 1928A, C, D, and E.

The JB block was delivered between April 10, 1935 and May 28, 1935 (the end of the 1928 series). These were printed alongside series 1934 BA blocks (which lasted from November 8, 1934 and May 29, 1935).

Like the 1928 and 1934 series these are Funny Back notes which describes the ornate back of the notes.

My local dealer would charge at least double for every item on that list. You're lucky to at least have options.

@captain coffee and this is one of 4 that I go to. The others are actually a little cheaper.

I know what you're talking about. I had never collected currency, or really been interested, but a couple years ago I thought "I'll just pick up one or two large size notes". Then it was "Confederate notes are sort of neat, too, so maybe I'll get a couple of them", and finally "Well, I should at least get a few older small size notes". Well, after two years I've now got over 80 notes, and I'm all in on my currency type sets.

I've been successful (so far) in blocking the recurring thoughts of "I should really get an obsolete note or two, and maybe just a few examples of fractional and Colonial currency" .

That's true! I imagine I'll weaken and give in at some point; I usually do...

And nice examples, by the way!
