VF obverse, reverse looks like VF but unnaturally worn down.

VG details I guess

I have seen this a lot on Canadian large cents. The planchet is a bit concave (or convex) so that the middle of one side wears very rapidly.

This is very typical of this specific date for the Newfoundland ten cent series. It is a convex reverse, therefore the centre will wear first, and therefore needs to be graded accordingly. My thoughts is that this is a vf20 coin. At the very least f15.

As tfred points out, this NFLD date is notorious for its weak reverse. Easy VF coin! Nice one and a tough date!

You guys are probably right about the convex strike, but I still have a hard time grading this coin anything higher than VG-10.

Also the obverse looks like it may have been wiped with something rather abrasive.

Id have to say F15 on this one, almost bordering on VF20 but just not reaching it.

Very nice coin.

VERY RARE COIN!!

I'm jealous. Seriously, I am.
