Seeing the notches, I didn't even have to look at the date of the coin. I knew which one it was.

Excellent find. That last S of STATES looks like a two headed snake with fangs.
Did you find it roll searching?

Awesome! I bought mine (an ANACS MS-65RD) not long ago. It's a very cool variaty. Mine was a stage a in EDS and I paid a bit over $50 for it which is surprisingly low considering how cool this coin is.

Wow, really surprised that such a strong variety is so affordable even in high grade, GrapeCollects. Any idea why that is?

@SamCoin, no idea. I was just as suprised. They seem to be "common" which means that supply exceeded demand and kept prices low. The average collector doesn't care about that variety, and since there is a surplus out there prices are kept low.
