It is not in the best condition, it has only 8 cm.

Verse: Inscr. Head of Valentinian III r., wearing diadem and drapery.
Reverse: Victory 1. dragging captive.

Given the bust of Valentiano III it may have been coined during the reign of Gaiseric or later.

The "Vandals" label is much overused in the trade. In 1911, Wroth (BMC Vandals) assigned specific parcels of coins in the BM collection with known African, Sicilian and Italian provenance to the "Vandalic period" but not necessarily to the Vandals themselves. Even so, Wroth's interpretations are not widely accepted by scholars today. Some have proven to be official issues of imperial mints. Others are classed more broadly as 5th-century imitations similar to those found elsewhere.
