It's interesting that so many people carry something in their pockets. I never really have as I think I'm too worried that I'm going to misplace it fairly quickly. Over the past couple of months, I haven't even been wearing my wedding ring as I'm constantly seeing my wife around the house.

I have a 1991 Candian Penny that I keep in my wallet (birth penny), and an 1875A French 5 Franc turned into a multi-tool swiss army type knife / keychain (with my keys on) in my left pocket. Some guy saw the keychain when I was at Heathrow security one time and tried to buy it off me - was absolutely not for sale!

2015 and 2016 1p's, a 2005 2p, 1996 5p and 2006 20p. They've all been there for some time as almost all my shopping over the last 2 months has been paid for with my debit card!

@CitationSquirrel Quote: Don't carry a pocket piece anymore. I carried an old British Penny back in high school. Now-a-days, I just carry my loop. Always ready to examine at a moments notice.

Keys and handkerchief only in my pocket. I have never carried cards (except for ID only), in either pocket or wallet.
Used to carry a carded .925 sterling silver Florin in a flip in my wallet, but it took up too much room; it was quite a useful conversation starter. Sometimes, I will carry a small ancient bronze low value bronze coin, for the same purpose, but it is easier to carry a picture of a chosen coin on your 'phone.
Cash notes only up to about $200, in my wallet. If you cash budget on a daily basis, you have 100% control on your spending / buying habits. Must have saved $ thousands over the last 20 years. Coins only, in amounts of up to $50 in each of my cars. I take a small random selection of these out of the car, before shopping. $2 coins get accumulated, until there is enough to pay for gas. I am too much of a blokey male to bother with a manbag.

I normally keep two of each Australian denomination in my pocket in case I ever need to swap someone for a coin.

Well if you must know , for the last two years in my left pocket is a medal of a lady with wings on both sides ,also my nitroglycerin pills which I never had to use yet . In my right pocket is a small round metal case that says '' My Lucky Penny '' inside is a 1943 steel cent . The case and penny given to me by my wife of 42 years .
