This one is rich...

The original coin (a broadstruck dime) sold for $46 the other week:

https://www.ebay.ca/itm/S76-Canada-...313064404196

and is now up for sale for $562 and posted as being struck on a 1c planchet, and a silver planchet at that. But wait...the seller has been a coin dealer for 20 years!

Seller states "19.05mm Penny size" Not struck on silver penny

However it is funny that he didn't even swap it out of the 2x2 it was first sold in...for 46$

My first thought is a broadstruck error on an undersize blank.
But my 'gut feeling' is not telling me nice things. Details are rather indistinct.
This may be the second example from this source.

He has a bunch of legit error coins and rare ones for sale, the prices seem a tad high.

To me the coin looks real, but I'd like to know the thickness of the coin. Very interesting to see the wire rim on it. Definitely not as "penny planchette" but not a broad strike or a capped die either because it is too large. This is a cool one though.

That's what happens when a planchet/coin is broadstruck (i.e., struck out of collar), it gets larger as there is no collar to contain the metal:

Centred Broadstrike ( Struck out of Collar ) . Once had a 1954 Steel 5 Cents
That was virtually the size of a quarter . Sold around 1998 for 150 CAD in an auction .

I bid on the original listing, wonder if he'll sell it for anywhere close to the $500 he's asking

I would do $250 or so. It would be a nice addition to my collection
