I found this 83 Kennedy half while searching rolls and I noticed that it had no hair around the R. I know that the no "fg" coin is a product of polishing the die and I assume that this is a result of the same. Since the no "fg" is collectible, where do you think this coin falls?

Looks like a very heavy die polishing issue with the die that struck this coin. This is Eisenhower isn't it? LOL (Bald JFK) Don't even want to here a peg leg comment.

to the CCF!

Wow! The die for that coin had been MASSIVELY polished! The area must have been really clashed, maybe more than once! I would love to see a uncirculated strike from the same die pair.

Do you see any signs of remaining clash marks on either side of the coin?

I do not see any clashes, I uploaded a few more pics of both front and back. I am new to coin collecting so I do not really know what to look for.

Still a nice looking 1983 half dollar. Looks close to BU. Save all larger denomination BU 1982 & 1983 BU coins because there were no mint sets sold from the mint that year. If you wanted a mint set those years you had to buy them from the actual mints themselves at the mint locations. Thus BU coins that year are in high demand. Circulated examples are plentiful, but album collectors want BU coins for their albums.
