Would you be wary of bidding on this coin with this holder at this auction? The hologram is missing from the rear of the holder and it is a high-dollar coin.
Just curious.

The missing hologram does not bother me as it happens when coins go in and out of dealer cases. I would not bid on the coin as I would want to use a major coin auction house or a coin dealer that deals in high end gold coins for a high end purchase.
If I read the terms and conditions correctly there are no returns so if it's a fake you may be stuck with it. I don't really like the look of this coin and would not bid on it from an auction house I've never heard of.
It looks genuine, and the cert number matches the NGC database. But you would think with this kind of coin, they would take the time to get some expert photos, and maybe even get it reholdered to remove any doubt. There are several die cracks on the reverse that you can barely see, but it matches the reverse die of this coin sold by Heritage nearly 20 years ago.
Depending upon where you live and your business status don't forget sales tax. It sold for 30K add 25% 7500, ship it yourself or pay storage fee, this state add 6-1/2% tax if no resale license ($2437) so... $39,937.50 and the shipping issue.
