Nope, my guess is someone wiped it with their thumb some time ago, making some of the fields look brighter then they should be. I actually want to add that this 1932 half is one of the few in the F-12 to VF-30 range I have seen that looks this original, most in this grade area, especially those in PCGS straight grade holders look wiped to death and completely stripped of any original patina.
