Yeah it's dirty alright, But there are definitely lines imprints. Got this from a below Good lot. The one across the neck gives me the impression its PMD.

not a hammer job, there would be way more tells, such as rim damage,bulges, etc..

If I'm seeing what I think you're seeing, if it was a hammer job, it would be reversed. So, PMD.

Try a dip in Acetone and see if it's still there.

Guess I should go invest in some Acetone, we purchased 55gal drums of Acetone in the Navy, don't think I'll need that much!
