is this a DDO ? the middle photo is shot straight down on the coin just like what you would see looking at it . the others are at a little angle so there should not be a lite problem

Notice very stong doubling on the left side of LIBERTY and it gets weaker as it goes towards the Y. That's from a PCGS slabbed coin.

Here is a picture of the slab with a special thanks to Metalman for telling me how to get the camera reflection off the slab picture. 1995RD MS66 PCGS DDO slab: Image Insert: Again, thank you Metalman

Until the photos of the Motto come in, for confirmation or not, I do believe you have the FS-1-041 1995-D DDO. I think I can see the small amount of doubling on the mintmark that would be needed and the doubling on the date. Since the photos are dead on, I have a hard time to tell if it is flattened or rounded, but looks rounded. Nice Jim

There is absolutely no doubling in the photos in the original post of this thread. The apparent doubling is from the lighting. More than one source of lighting coming in from two different directions lights both sides of the devices leaving what appears to be doubling in the images - that's all.
As for whether there are 1995D doubled die cents - yes. At least four different dies are known, one of them is very strong.
Jerryb - The coin in question is a 1995D - Denver mint. The coin you posted is a 1995 plain - Philadelphia mint. None of the doubled dies struck with the same die as your coin had the D mintmark on them.
