Hello coin community can I get any info on this nickel? Looks to me like it was penny struck. I'm very sorry I really messed this up. I had posted the 50cent piece and then tried to put the nickel as a separate post but it just changed the pic and the post but still with the same messages from the 50 cent piece idk how to take it completely down yet so I will do that just as soon as I figure this out.

That's a counter stamp, someone put it there after it was minted.

@d54, first welcome to CCF. Second, rather than a mint error, it looks like someone has taken an engraver and scratched that number 7 onto the surface of your coin:

to CCF. It is a counter stamp that someone did after it left the mint so not a mint error. Also,it is a Kennedy half dollar.

This thread has changed drastically since I posted, why would you not just make a new thread for this nickel?

Could be glue on the nickel or a squeeze job with a vise. Can't really tell from the images. But the coin was altered. If with glue it will come off. damage is there until it get sent back to the mint to be canceled.

Impression is incuse, lettering is reversed and incuse, it is on the high relief areas but not in the field (except where the rim of the cent was pressed in.) Vise job.
