I am looking at adding this half to my collection. What do you think it grades? These are sellers pics.

Can you show us straight-on pics, please. Angled pics are difficult to evaluate.

Looks like serious surface damage. Whizzed?

I think the seller is trying to hide something. If there is a return option you could give it a try if you really like it.

The surfaces are definitely impaired, although it's hard to say how. Mostly like whizzed as jimbucks mentioned. I would avoid this coin and look for a wholesome, problem-free example.
Rest in Peace

Yep , besides that I don't like the obverse rim issue at 8:00-10:00 .

Looks OK to me I think the seller is using some creative angled photography and lighting to make a mid-AU coin seem nicer. I'll say AU-55 range.

I used to see this type of angle photo when I was a serious collector. Cannot point the finger at the seller, but usually angle photos do not give an accurate portrayal of the coins surface.

Assuming the angle of the photos isn't trying to hide anything, it is an AU-55 coin. Au details if they are

AU-55 details. The coin was cleaned and now has some album tone.
