My wife and I just plucked this one from our folder of Morgan's. We've been wanting to have it TPG'd?
It does have reflective fields and details above average.
To our eyes it looks PL but can't say for sure and suspect it would grade MS. Thinking of using NGC as TPG. However, not pulling the trigger until we here others opinions and expertise on this coin.
Many Thanks Once Again!
Regards,
villagekid

Hard to tell from these photos whether it is PL. Possible, but probably not. As for grade, does look MS but is fairly banged up. I'm going to go with MS-62. Could be 63 if PL since the fields would show more chatter due to the mirroring.

I'll say MS-63. A pic that throws more light on the obverse fields would help.

I'm at MS-62 on this one, with current pic's provided it doesn't look PL to me.

MS-62. All the hairlines going in the same direction show that the coin was mishandled. Cartwheel luster is still there so probably not cleaned.

Doesn't look that bad to me. I'd say 63. The question then becomes whether
you really want to spend $25 + to grade what may end up being a $40-50 coin.
I'd personally leave it raw and buy a nice MS64 for around $75 or so.

I was thinking 63/64. PL didn't come to mind. Beautiful strike.
