1880 S Morgan Dollar - Pl? - Thoughts On Grading Is Appreciated. Thanks!

villagekid Valued Member United States 179 Posts	Posted 05/26/2020 11:30 pm My wife and I just plucked this one from our folder of Morgan's. We've been wanting to have it TPG'd? It does have reflective fields and details above average. To our eyes it looks PL but can't say for sure and suspect it would grade MS. Thinking of using NGC as TPG. As for grade, does look MS but is fairly banged up. I'm going to go with MS-62. Could be 63 if PL since the fields would show more chatter due to the mirroring. The question then becomes whether you really want to spend $25 + to grade what may end up being a $40-50 coin. I'd personally leave it raw and buy a nice MS64 for around $75 or so.
