ok so this one is not slabbed , seller says its not cleaned. I don't know if its just super dull or if its the lighting. to me this looks AU-55 just curious if you all think its cleaned or where you see it at grade wise. as always I greatly appreciate the feedback. *** Edited by Staff to Add Year / Mintmark / Denomination to Title. Tough to tell from these photos but probably AU-58. Flatly struck. Odd mark below the tailfeathers - looks like a E?

I'll say AU-55, possibly 58.

Looks to be AU-55, nice E clash. Pic's need a white balance adjustment, then coin would look much better.

Nice AU-55. A little softness in the strike but better than average.

91(O) are typically soft and weak so I cant take off for that. not sure how you taking these photos but its not helping with determining luster. AU58

My very first thought was "cleaned." Then I noticed the blue behind it, and thought that perhaps it was somehow reflecting back onto the coin, maybe from the camera lens. Or some weird lighting (LED?) might have been used.
Next thought: High AU state, possibly 55 or 58.
Checking out the reverse. Next thought: Yep, AU 55/58-ish. Oh! What's THIS?! Die clash. VERY COOL!
I still suspect cleaning, but I am in no was an expert on cleaned coins. Just "looks" funky to me. I'd scoop it up for the die clash though!

Looks like a problem free AU-55. This is a condition rarity coin (i.e. 88-O "hot lips"). Its fairly easy to find in lower grades, but in the case of the 91-O,1A, they get a bit harder in AU-50 and above, with MS examples being fairly rare. There are four die stages with this variety and the one you have pictured is VAM-1A1. The rarest is the latest die state VAM-1A3, and to my knowledge no MS examples have been found. I bought my first 91-O 'E' clash NGC graded, AU-55 (1A1) outright, quite a few years ago at $250. I wouldn't pay much more than that for this coin. I saw a couple of examples in AU-55 on ebay for $600! At that price it is insane! Good luck!
