Local bank says they can't help. Not looking for uncirculated coins. Ideas?

When do they need the penny's? Sounds like a nice human interest story. Start a campaign. Contact your local media outlets or start something on facebook. Write a letter or contact the Mint's costumer service dept. I'm sure they would be happy to help you.

Heck, go for 2020 dimes. Hope those 2020 cents don't develop zinc rot.

That's very true! The dimes will last longer then the marriage!

A friend wanted a hundred 1989 pennies with a heart punched out and turned into key chains for his parent's 30th anniversary so I made a punch and put them together for him. That is another option to make it more wedding like then just a bare coin. Might be an option.

If you hit all your local banks, chances are there will be some 2020 cents rolled up unless you live in an area that is very late to receive them. In my part of the country, we're seeing them regularly in pocket change.

If you're in a hurry, the ebay link provided above is probably the best bet. Otherwise, maybe the members here can get hands on some. I'd be willing to give it a try to help out a new bride!

Follow-up:

Went to my local bank branch and they did not have 2020 cent rolls at the time (lots of 2019, though.) I can try again in a day or two.
