So if you go back on this old post, you can see there are no initials, no FG.

I've heard talk of this being a "cool find" but I'm just rather confused. Either it's a Greaser, or overpolished die.

I'm confused why these would carry an premium.

Could I just have some assistance? Thanks!

EDIT: I posted this because nfine, one of our members, made a comment on it when I originally posted it, but I dismissed it.

These are so common to find. To serious collectors like me, they are not worth a premium and I wouldn't pay for one. Just my opinion.

I 100% agree with you E&V. That's why I'm confused because I've seen a few long time members say "great find" when it comes to people finding these.

'Great finds' are in the hearts/minds of the beholders. That's one of the wrinkles in coin collecting which make all this numismatic stuff fun.

Well yes of course but nevertheless, it doesn't make sense to me.

This coin is a 1969-D Cent. It was/still listed on some slabs, but they stopped as they are common to find. The mintmark position on your coin will match this one:

Interesting, thank you Coop. Still curious why some of our members pointed them out.
