What do you think? I am going to offer this here at the forum before ebay once this thread is done.

Hi Vermont,

This looks like a challenge. I see definite wear at Liberty's shoulder, along the drapery, and on the high points of the hair, especially above the eye. The leaves have all lost a little detail in the centers. I'd call it EF-45 in terms of wear. However, there appears to be quite a bit of red-brown luster clinging to the obverse devices. That should boost the grade a bit, probably to AU-50. Hopefully the luster is original, not the result of some kind of old cleaning. It looks natural to me.

Beautiful coin. I'm looking forward to learning the grade consensus. I'm also interested in your asking price!

Thanks Jaobler for the inputs! That 1797 Dollar of yours is incredible. Well, Let's see what a couple more folks think, then I'll list it with my asking price. I will tell you this. There is an element of the grade that I am in disagreement with.

I actually came to just about the the same conclusion as jaobler separately. I can't tell from the pictures how I feel about the color although I would love to have it in hand in order to let you know.
