I didn't even see that one. Went for a low price IMHO.

Was that a coin you might have wanted to add to your collection?

Sure, it's a nice looking coin for the grade. Long term, these prices will look like absolute bargains.

I ran the numbers for Half Silver Riders. Both NGC and PCGS combined, total of 204 graded AU50 or higher. Of those, 133 are MS60 or higher.

Compared to the full size coin, last time I ran the numbers (May 2022), 500 total AU50 and higher. Of those, 228 at MS60 or higher.

If anyone wants the numbers for Half Silver Riders, here is a link to a .csv (comma separated values) file, which can be opened with Excel or probably any spreadsheet software. This is of course NGC and PCGS pops combined.

From a recent Heritage auction:

So, was the price bid up because of the + on the grade, or because of the "1776" date? I'm thinking the date.

Updated combined NGC and PCGS pops.

Grades AU50 and up.
No Piefort or Gold Struck.
This is a .csv file (comma separated values), which will open in Excel or other spreadsheet software.
