To me they are just an over polished die. It was not a case of it not being on the die, it was just polished away. But I'm a variety collector. I don't fall for all these polished off examples. They can happen at anytime on the die as these are die events, not a die variety. To me a die variety is something created on the die that creates variety coins. Not an example of a die event. Just like rust on a car doesn't make it a collectable, over one without rust. Rust is an event that happens to a car. It wasn't made that way with the rust.

I agree with Coop. I will keep good examples of overpolished dies, but these are quite minimal, so not worth collecting even as examples of die events. Large portions of the lettering or design would need to be missing before I'd consider an overpolished die collectible.

It's clearly a no FG KHD...good find...continue to keep and collect whatever you like...I would keep it just as an example...
