Needs some pros on this. Is it RPM? D/D ? or D/D/D ? Or nothing? Thank you for looking.

I'm thinking it's a split plating issue. Not uncommon with LMCs. Others will weigh-in I suspect.

Lets ignore the split plating and focus on slight NE portion of the mm (mms-012) also the horizontal parts look thick. I've came across a few of these (88Ds) and can't decide..MD or unlisted.......

I see the serifs, so I'm in the unlisted camp. But that's just me.

RPM with a split serif + split plating. I'm joining the unlisted squad.

If we are going to observe the upper part of the mintmark, lets examine to see if the date is showing the same thing on the tops of these devices as well? That will tell us if this is a striking error or a die issue. Note how the mintmark shape is pushed aside on the NW corner. So did this happen during the strike, or by the mintmark punch on of a previous punch. There was an event that had damaged the mintmark punch that year. So more is involved on this subject:

Reminds me of one I found back then. I don't remember if it got listed or not. (I didn't see it on coppercoins though) It is listed, just not my coin on the site.
