I've had this AE-25 for years which has stumped me. Something in my gut says it's from Roman Spain but I haven't really got a clue.

Diameter is 25 mm. and the weight is 14.51 grams.

Any clues would be appreciated.

In your coin's case, Paul, I believe the reverse legend (AMΦIΠOΛEITΩN) splits at the bull's hind legs, with the dash at the legs:

AMΦIΠO-ΛEITΩN

Here's one with - I think - the same legend break, but it's hard to tell for sure...from Wildwinds (Amphipolis page):

It is in an old envelope stating it is from Macedon, struck under Elagabalus, with reverse of Alexander the Great on a horse, but that just didn't sound right to me.

I appreciate the help.
