It is a DDR, but the condition will lower the value a lot.

Thanks Coop! Yeah, it's a shame, but comes with the territory when dealing with circulated wheat cents, unfortunately. I enjoy finding as many varieties as I can, even if the condition is less than ideal.

Now a days just finding a wheat back in a bank box is a nice rare find...and the odds of it being a DDR or DDO.. Nice find...

thanks guys! Yeah, my area seems to average more per box than a lot of places, but the odds of one coin in 22 (which is how many I got in this box) being a doubled die are pretty darn low! Feel extremely lucky to have gotten one.

Nice find SamCoin. The dots is what I'm looking for too. That looks like way more spread then damage.

Thanks, Sheldius! Yes, most of it is spread. The circulation flattening has worn down a lot of the devices, but, comparing it with the VV entry, doesn't seem to have distorted them much. I'm generally not super enthusiastic about this type of DDR on wheat cents, but this one is fairly major, especially on that first dot
