Whats the deal with the seemingly extra letters along "in god we"
Is the coin Double Struck? Machine Doubling? or just results from the dies having been clashed? unique or run of the mill?

interest points:
extra lettering "in god we"
weak FG with a 2nd faint FG to the N-NW of Typical placement
the line below steps and about "One Cent"; is that "doubling of steps and building?
Is the Statue Doubled? looks like head and shoulders appearing to the South East

not sure why, but I've found and kept 3 1971 Ds with this exact clash, and two of them I've confirmed are from the same die by a significant die chip in one of the memorial bays. Wonder if this is from the same die as well.

Too many photos. I see a die clash and a minor MAD with a Rim Fin. Also looks like early stage DDD. Congrats on 50 posts

The reduction of the devices tells me the die was over polished. Thus the reduction of fields made the devices thinner.

I can't comment on your technical questions, but great photography. I'll watch and learn.
