Looking at the reverse of this bicentennial quarter I see odd marks below the right armpit and the tips of the drum sticks any ideas is it a DD? thanks for looking

I don't see doubling on this coin, I need pics of the lettering to determine if it is indeed an error, but this looks nothing out of the ordinary here

I would wait for coop to chime in on this one. From the pics its hard to tell what this is. I do see what you are talking about with an extra "ridge" or whatever below the armpit and the tip of the one drumstick. Better lighting and better focused pictures would help maybe.

I am not saying I am correct, and would appreciate being educated if not, but I do not see how looking at the lettering will help determine what happened to the areas you have listed here. I looked on varietyvista.com to see if there are any 1976 DDR quarters listed with which it would be possible to reference pictures and match them to yours, but did not find any listings at all for this date as a DDR.

A wider view would be a lot more helpful to see what your seeing. Sometimes to close is not much help to figure out what your looking at.

First I'd like to say I agree with earl42 the lettering really dosent have anything to do with what's going on but here is the best I can do photo wise thanks for looking
