G'Day all just thought Id share this with you,
I brought this as an 1888 O (EF to AU ) to fill a hole in my album,
1888-O-VAM-23
1888-O-VAM-23
but when I put it under the microscope wow die cracks and rim Cud everywhere,
didn't find it in the C C of E so off to VAMworld the photo's confirmed it is a VAM 23
tho this must be a late die stage as the rim Cud is thicker about 1/3 of the coin more than the photo
and the cracks are larger with more silver filling
anyway I'll post the photo's to see what you think
left wing first(eagles right wing)
1888-O-VAM-23
1888-O-VAM-23
main crack in reverse
1888-O-VAM-23
1888-O-VAM-23
1888-O-VAM-23
1888-O-VAM-23
and photos of the cud
1888-O-VAM-23

hope you like
regards Harry

Great hole filler Harry. With New Orleans known for weak strikes, I would give it an AU. Cracks and breaks still strong.
