What Is Beneath The "s" In This Coin? (Id: 1970-S Nickel)

There are two images which the second one is rotated 180 degree with respect to the first one foe better view. May I have your opinion? Thanking you. coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 06/22/2020 1:47 pm Looks like a contact mark with a slight wave around it. If you look SE of the mintmark at 4:00 you can see a die wear wave moving towards the rim. But that is not a RPM. Just field disturbance. You can see the die flow lines forming on the NW side of the mintmark. Just a normal die event as the die ages. Report this Post to the Staff
