no mint mark is normal for the Philadelphia mint, the date looks normal to me. Please explain what you're seeing.

I saw that a new discovery was made with the date being missed placed "1". It lines up at the beginning of the R rather then the end.

The additional 1 lines up with the middle of which R?
And please post a link to the information on the "discovery" you are referring to or an image of the claimed variety. (Some sellers make dubious claims just to sell "stuff".)

It looks like this seller makes up stories about his pocket change then puts it on ebay. Sorry, but your coin is just a normal coin worth 1 cent.

That seller shines a bad light on our hobby...most all of his coins are S+*t...too bad ebay only cares about profit, I believe most his coins should be removed...calling them "major mint errors" on normal coins...

Rotation of the coin would alter where the '1' would line up. Note the angle of the the date and Liberty in you images. They are not horizontal by any means.

I agree with what everyone has said about this coin and especially about the seller. The way modern coins are made would not allow this to be possible. There is some great info on the die making process at Doubleddies.com . Here is the link and hope you keep enjoying the hobby. http://doubleddie.com/58201.html

Quote: The R in TRUST. Here is the link, I couldn't find much else but they had a couple of them? PERFECT example of why you shouldn't believe everything you read on the internet, and especially ebay when it comes to coins. Hopefully you didn't buy one of these. If you did, return it, fast! As others have said, what you have is a normal one cent coin. Please stick around and take the time to learn about our hobby. All our information is totally free, and you'll find lots of great people here to help you! to the CFF!

Just a little hint If you see a seller that can not or did not Describe or show said ERROR its best to NOT buy or Do some Research on said Error before you lose your money. Happy Hunting
